Edward Dabdoub

Founding Attorney

Attorney Dabdoub is the founder of Dabdoub Law Firm and is its managing partner. He envisioned creating a law firm with one purpose: helping people with their disability insurance claims. His goal was to level the playing field for people wrongly denied disability benefits by their insurance company.

Since earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, he has focused his career on assisting individuals who need their eligibility for disability benefits asserted before the law. The firm has since earned a track record of winning disability appeals as well as disability insurance lawsuits.

Important lawsuit victories include:

- Ashmore v. NFL’s Disability Plan, where a former NFL player suffering from chronic pain was denied disability benefits.

-Bradshaw v. Reliance Standard Ins. Co., where the insurance company wrongly denied disability benefits as a preexisting condition.

Due to his experience and knowledge in this practice area, Eddie can assist clients in any stage of the disability insurance claims process. He is well-versed in the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”) and has helped countless clients assert their rights under this federal statute. He is also a seasoned litigator who has represented his clients' claims in both state and federal court. He has confronted all major insurance providers over these disability claims, including Aetna, Hartford, CIGNA, Liberty Life, Met Life, Mass Mutual, Prudential, and many others.

Attorney Dabdoub's experience in this arena has also made him a dynamic resource in the legal community. He's been asked to speak at both local and national conferences and events on ERISA and disability insurance law topics for organizations like the Florida Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He has also penned articles on these same topics and advises his peers as they, too, face off against the disability insurance industry.

While earning his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, Eddie received the Ambassador Sue Cobb Scholarship. Before that, he graduated at the top of his class at the Florida International University. There, he earned a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Miami.
