PartnerAttorney Geannina Burgos provides dedicated and comprehensive legal counsel to anyone who is struggling to recover disability benefits from their insurance provider. She regularly handles cases at every stage of this process, including filing claims (individual and group), pre-suit appeals, and even litigation in both state and federal court. Nina's practice is primarily focused on ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) and she is well-versed in ensuring that her clients' candidacy for long-term benefits is clearly and emphatically demonstrated.
Nina has been the recipient of several fellowships over the course of her career, including from the American Society of Public Administrators, the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Florida Bar, the Ruden McClosky Foundation, and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. While in law school, Nina also earned a judicial clerkship in the Third District Court of Appeal under the Honorable Judge Barbara Lagoa. She was also an active member of her law school's Community Development Clinic and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Mediation.
