Jonathan T. Macedo joined Wagar Law, P.A. in 2011. Jonathan was raised in Dartmouth, Massachusetts and was the first in his family to attend college. He is the son of a disabled firefighter and a disabled nurse and the older brother of a CFO for a New York construction company.
Mr. Macedo is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. While at law school, he assisted with the creation of a real estate development company based in San Francisco, California. During his tenure at the University of Miami, Mr. Macedo also participated in UM's Summer abroad program and completed the Tour de España and Italy/Greece programs which visited 33 cities in 11 countries and travelled over 11,000 miles in two and a half months.
During his second year in school, Mr. Macedo served as a law clerk for Morgan Albite, P.A., a newly created insurance defense firm that focused on claims generated by Hurricane Katrina and Wilma. Mr. Macedo also interned for TotalBank during the summer of his second year in law school. While working for the bank, Mr. Macedo worked in the Legal department as the assistant to the general counsel and worked in the Real Estate Closings department where he assisted the Vice President / Associate General Counsel with residential closings and preparing mortgage packages. Prior to law school, Mr. Macedo graduated cum laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was awarded a dual concentration in Finance and Business Law. During his attendance at BU, he completed the highly regarded CORE program, where a group of peers and Mr. Macedo were asked to develop a business plan for the marketing, finance, operations, and information technology for a business designed to create a unique and patentable invention, and to create a prototype of their product. Jonathan is currently admitted to practice in the State of Florida.
